Are you happy with the current leadership in your city? Do you wonder how policies are made relating to water and fire districts? Interested in making a difference in your local schools or helping to create better parks and recreation facilities?
Then you should consider running for office!
Your Sacramento County Republican Party encourages Republicans to run for office to make sure our approach to issues will be represented during the election, and on each council and board. Did you know there are over 215,000 Republicans in our County? We will make sure conservative voters in the districts of our endorsed candidates are made aware of the opportunity to support like-minded candidates.
Filing is now open and you have until August 7th to gather signatures and submit nomination papers. Take a look at the Candidate Filing Overview for details on tasks to complete during this time period.
Seats up for Election include schools and special districts (no filing fees) and city elected officials (different in each city so check with the City Clerk.)
Use this link to determine the districts you could represent. View the list of candidates who have already filed.
Below is the long list of seats up in November with those seats highlighted (*) where we’re seeking Republican candidates to run.
Work As An Election Officer for the General Election
If running for office is more than you had in mind, then consider applying to be an Election Officer in November. It is a paid position and online applications are now being accepted. It is so important that we have citizens who value election integrity working to process ballots and assist voters.
