The STA and Board of Supervisors listened and learned that taxpayers have had enough! Once again taxpayers called and emailed their elected officials to express their opposition to another tax increase. And it worked.
Kudos to Supervisor Sue Frost and the Sacramento Taxpayers Association for taking the lead on a very diverse coalition of taxpayers, businesses, community organizations, and political parties (GOP and Libertarian.)
Now to defeat Prop 15 – the Split Roll Tax attack on Prop 13.
The County’s insatiable appetite for your hard earned money is rising again. The Sacramento Transportation Authority voted to put a half-cent sales tax increase on the November ballot and now it’s up to the Sacramento Board of Supervisors to seal the deal.
Good news! Polls show the tax increase has an uphill battle, and that has forced the STA to reconsider their plans. They are meeting again on July 15 to revisit the issue and we need to let them know voters don’t want the tax on the ballot! After they make their decision, the Sacramento Board of Supervisors will vote, so both must be contacted.
Take Action Now!
