January 2024 Central Committee Meeting

January 17 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

About SacCountyGOP Meetings

The Sacramento County Republican Central Committee meetings are open to Committee Members, Alternates, and Associates with 25 open seats for invited guests. The agenda is set in advance by the SCRP Executive Committee. Since participation in the Committee meeting is reserved for Committee members only, guests are encouraged to discuss their ideas in advance with a committee member (view the list of members), or to send their comments to info@saccountygop.com.
No recording devices are allowed during the meeting, including phones. Photos/videos will be taken by representatives of the SacCountyGOP only. Thank you!

The Sacramento County Republican Central Committee meets on the third Wednesday of the month. Meetings begin at 6:30pm. We do not hold meetings in July or December, unless there is a special need.

Guests who registered in advance will be admitted to observe the meeting.

The January agenda will include a discussion of plans for our Feb. 13 Presidents Day Dinner featuring Fox News Contributor Steve Hilton. We will not be hosting Republican candidates running for US Senate at the meeting due to scheduling conflicts. There will be endorsements for Sacramento County Board of Education and a presentation of the plans for the March Election.

What Happened at the November Meeting?

The Central Committee unanimously agreed to elect Danielle Jolliffe to a vacancy in District 5. Danielle previously served as the Alternate for this seat.

Chair Betsy Mahan reported on the successful Harvest Reception, hosted by Nina Caron in Gold River and featuring Howard Jarvis Taxpayer Assn President Jon Coupal and Senator Roger Niello. Mahan also announced that the next fundraiser will take place on February 13th featuring Fox News Contributor Steve Hilton (see Hilton’s message to SacCountyGOP below).

The Committee heard a briefing on the Special Election results and congratulated San Juan USD Board Member-Elect Manuel Perez on his victory. This changes the balance of power on the school board which bodes well for parents, students and faculty who are ready to get politics out of the classroom and back to the basics.

All were invited to support Move America Forward, a non-profit that provides care boxes to deployed soldiers. Learn more at this link.
