About SacCountyGOP Meetings
The Sacramento County Republican Central Committee meets on the third Wednesday of the month. Meetings begin at 6:30pm. We do not hold meetings in July or December, unless there is a special need.
Registered Republicans in Sacramento County who signed up in advance have been informed by email that they may attend to observe the meeting.
The April agenda will include a final review of March Election results and information for local candidates who are planning to run in November. New Ex-Officio’s will be seated and the Committee will discuss plans for increased visibility throughout the County through community events and neighborhood receptions.
What Happened at the March Meeting?
Chair Betsy Mahan congratulated all candidates who ran in the March Election and called for Committee members to unite and work together for our candidates in the November election. She cautioned candidates and Committee members against use of negative messaging due to the impact it has on voter turnout and candidate recruitment. A proposed Bylaw amendment was announced and will be considered at an upcoming meeting to clarify the obligations of individual committee members and candidates pertaining to personal endorsements.
The Chair also announced that SacCountyGOP will have Trump campaign signs available at the end of March, and we are taking orders for larger signs. She also encouraged all to help circulate petitions for the Fix 47 ballot measure, including a series of signing events on April 6th. Volunteers can contact Garrett Hamilton if they would like to help at Ace Hardware locations on April 6th.
